Bike Week - Thursday Threads

In another life (aka 2008-2009) my job involved telling the good people of Nottingham town that they should get out and about on their bikes.  Or feet, by bus, tram, train, pogostick... essentially anything but a car.  One of the best times was National Bike Week when we got out there and did everything we could to convince people that two wheels are great.

Last year I was working with art galleries, cinemas and bike shops to organise fun events, but my most favourite was the Wheelie Big Breakfast.  No, I did not come up with the cheesy so-bad-it's-good name, more's the pity.  Essentially anyone who hopped on a bike and joined us earnt themselves a free breakfast for being so fabulous.  It was fun, we made people happy with free food and felt a collective sense of cycling enthusiasm.

This year's Wheelie Big Breakfast is today, and while I'm shedding a silent tear at not being involved, I still want to do my bit.  So to thank every awesome cyclist out there, feast your eyes on some cycling treats:
